Restoration & Beyond, Inc. (a nonprofit organization) was started in 1991 primarily as an outreach to the poor and less fortunate of society. The need centered around the homeless, prison inmates and the elderly who were provided with material items as well as counseling and encouragement.

Dr. Hal Lavery is the founder of Restoration & Beyond, Inc. and a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He has been in ministry for over 20 years in Oklahoma, California, Texas and Florida and during this time has been involved with some of the most successful ministries in the world. His sensitive, theological and psychological training with practical ministry has equipped him to evaluate the problems facing people in today's society.

He believes that God has absolute power to restore and heal those traumatized by life experiences. Along with his own personal plight, Dr. Lavery understands God's word is still the only true absolute for a better life.

Dr. Lavery has worked with the mentally ill poplulation for over 15 years. He has pastored the upper class as well as worked directly with the homeless to help resolve addiction and psychiatric issues.

Dr. Lavery has been listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universites as well as Who's Who in American Christian Leadership. He has taught courses in psychology through Palm Beach Community College and Spectrum Programs in South Florida and has appeared on national television shows along with having a local cable show in South Florida entitled Restoration Love.

Dr. Lavery is happily married to his wife, Carrie, who is an intrinsic part of the practice.
